Next level confectionery indulgence

Chocolate is a well-known confectionery taking almost any form you can imagine these days. Although being an all-time favorite, the chocolate industry also faces the challenge to fulfil ever changing consumers’ needs. From taste to texture, color and formats, the market is determined by continuous makeovers. Knowing what consumers are looking for right now is key for brand owners and manufacturers today.

Colorful choices

We know that colorful foods have a notable effect on our mood and behavior – for example, the colors yellow and orange which are said to embody consumers’ pursuit of renewal and the desire to move forward (Food Navigator USA, 2020). It is well understood that red stands for vitality and energy. What do colorful choices mean concretely for chocolate now? Since colors influence our mood and behavior, a colorful confectionery treat clearly brightens up our day. Whereas a few years ago many products had been developed with artificial colors, today it is natural colors obtained from plants such as turmeric or beet that ultimately woe new consumers. Explore natural coloring solutions with our SuperFine powders. Starting with white chocolate, our SuperFine powders can be added to a seemingly endless list of confectioneries like chocolate, fudges, candy and pralines to create exciting new color experiences for consumers. Everything is 100% natural, there is no need to rely on artificial coloring agents anymore.

Indulgent moments

As many consumers spend a lot of time at home the last few months due to the pandemic, it is no surprise that confectionery treats are immensely popular as consumers are looking for ways to escape the dull everyday monotony. Confectionery is the perfect treat for many occasions. Whether to relax, energize or to explore the world with exciting new flavors – consumers can escape the ordinary by enjoying a piece of chocolate. To meet this trend, brands need new creations that immerse the consumer in another world – at least for a little moment. Thereby nature offers countless opportunities. For example, while lavender and chamomile are traditionally said to have relaxing properties, mate and guarana are perceived as energy boosters. There are more than 50 powders in our SuperFine portfolio giving many all-natural choices to create indulgent moments for the confectionery consumers of today and tomorrow.

Taste

Dark chocolate refined with natural rosemary or white chocolate with a hint of beetroot? Whether it is the festive season or a special occasion, chocolate is the perfect base for experimenting with taste. Even though many other aspects influence consumers decisions, one of the key drivers for purchase decisions is and remains taste.  Sprinkling in some of our all-natural SuperFine powders will quickly give your chocolates an individual and delicious touch and, just as important, it meets the requirements of today’s discerning consumers.
