With its outstanding commitment to environmental responsibility, Martin Bauer GmbH & Co. KG has successfully participated in the state of Bavaria’s Environment and Climate Pact. Now, the Bavarian Ministry of the Environment and Consumer Protection has ceremonially presented the company with its certificate of participation. District Commissioner Alexander Tritthart thanked MartinBauer for the high level of responsibility it has assumed for the climate, environment and society. Participation in the program runs for three years, until 2028.
Ceremonial presentation of the certificate
Commissioner Tritthart personally handed the certificate from the State Ministry to Anne Wedel-Klein, CEO of the nature network, which MartinBauer is part of.
“MartinBauer has impressively demonstrated how environmental awareness and economic success can go hand in hand,” said Tritthart. “With its innovative projects in the fields of energy and sustainability, the company has set new standards in our part of Germany and beyond. Its dedicated action serves as an example for others to follow.”
Bavarian Environment and Climate Pact
The Bavarian Environment and Climate Pact is an initiative of the Bavarian State Ministry of the Environment and Consumer Protection. Its goal is to encourage organizations to actively commit to resource and climate protection with an innovative range of voluntary environmental measures.
Only 17 companies in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district have received such certification to date – proof of the certificate’s special significance, says Commissioner Tritthart, and of the high value that the state administration places on such commitment. MartinBauer’s involvement in the program will continue until 2028.
Sustainability firmly rooted in the company strategy
Commissioner Tritthart highlighted the diversity of the sustainability initiatives pursued by MartinBauer, including trainees’ dedicated engagement in their own projects. By participating in the Environment and Climate Pact, MartinBauer has pledged itself to a sustainability strategy and goals that go far beyond the legal requirements.
“For our company, sustainability is not just a ‘nice-to-have,’ it’s a core element of our strategy on all fronts – ecological, economic and social,” emphasized nature network CEO Anne Wedel-Klein on the occasion of the ceremonial handover.
