The location, soil and types of plant must be carefully selected. To ensure that a wildflower patch is actually a valuable habitat for wild bees and not just for show, it must also be correctly laid out, tended and protected.

We can all do our bit to help. Now, our customer OTG/Meßmer and our German mabagrown raw materials partners are getting involved, cooperating with the Blühende Landschaft network on an exciting new bee-friendly project.

With its BeeHappy, BeeSunny and BeeLovely special edition teas, Meßmer is making a contribution to species protection. During this three-year project, the areas in question will be mowed no more than once or twice a year, allowing wildflowers to fully develop their blooms and provide plenty of pollen and nectar for busy little collectors.

Every square foot helps! If you leave your lawnmower in the shed a little longer, the flowers have a chance to seed. Alternatively, you can form small islands of flowers. A flat bowl of water, fitted with small rocks and sticks, offers wild bees a welcome place to stop and enjoy a sip of water on hot days – which is crucial for their survival.

Relevant topics:

Botanical Sweetness

A special edition of Meßmer teas called “Save the Bees” is helping create 50,000 m² of insect-friendly flowering meadowland in the German states of Thuringia and Bavaria. […]

[183,24
