A special edition of Me\u00dfmer teas called \u201cSave the Bees\u201d is helping create 50,000 m\u00b2 of insect-friendly flowering meadowland in the German states of Thuringia and Bavaria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone wanting to create a biotope for pollinators has to know what they\u2019re doing and be prepared to get busy. The location, soil and types of plant must be carefully selected. To ensure that a wildflower patch is actually a valuable habitat for wild bees and not just for show, it must also be correctly laid out, tended and protected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can all do our bit to help. Now, our customer OTG\/Me\u00dfmer and our German mabagrown raw materials partners are getting involved, cooperating with the Bl\u00fchende Landschaft network on an exciting new bee-friendly project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your yards and gardens at home are perfect for a diverse range of wild flowering plants. If you leave your lawnmower in the shed a little longer, the flowers have a chance to seed. A flat bowl of water, fitted with small rocks and sticks, offers wild bees a welcome place to stop and enjoy a sip of water on hot days \u2013 which is crucial for their survival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
